The orthodontic treatment of our patient Zinyat using a braces system has been successfully completed. Prior to treatment, the patient presented with significant dental crowding, narrow upper and lower jaws, and misaligned teeth that could not properly fit within the dental arch.

Additionally, the patient experienced nasal breathing difficulties, which in severe cases can lead to sleep apnea — a condition characterized by interruptions in breathing during sleep. It is important to note that the upper jaw forms part of the nasal cavity, and its proper development plays a crucial role in healthy breathing.

These orthodontic issues had a considerable impact on the patient’s quality of life. She experienced difficulties maintaining proper oral hygiene, had challenges with clear speech, and was unable to chew food effectively. Furthermore, aesthetic concerns prevented her from smiling confidently, which affected her psychological well-being.

As a result of the orthodontic treatment, the teeth were gradually aligned into their correct positions, proper inter-dental relationships were established, and an ideal occlusion was achieved. The previously narrow and V-shaped upper jaw was expanded and transformed into a more natural, parabolic U-shaped arch.

Following treatment, the patient’s nasal breathing significantly improved, along with her speech and chewing function. Both functional and aesthetic issues were successfully resolved, restoring a healthy, confident, and natural smile.

The orthodontic treatment was carried out at SNN Medical (Memar Ajami branch) by orthodontist Khayala Hajiyeva, in full compliance with international protocols and medical standards, ensuring high-quality and long-lasting results.
